Thrown out of grad school. In a particularly sketchy manner (no warning, no straight answers). Of course, this has only exacerbated my depression... Lying in bed last night with insomnia, I thought far too more than any person should think about the specifics of hanging oneself.

Don't do it. Botched hangings leave dreadful scars, and it really does take outside assistance to do it right.
