One exercise that helps:
You find that you're giving a fuck about what someone thinks about. You stop and pause. You mentally catalogue the reasons why what they think about you fails to matter, and furthermore, you evaluate what you think about *them*. Imagining obscene hand gestures or rude little dances while doing this is both permissable and encouraged.
