don't make any big thing out of it. don't hide it or look apprehensive when someone comes up to you, and for ghu's sake don't point it out. odds are no-one will say anything anyway cuz they just won't have the balls to... =)

Are you kidding? Librarians have been claiming for years that their image is too bland. If anybody says anything, proclaim that you're campaigning for the recognition that knowledge is sexy! Dudette, that's fekking cool! I dyed my hair purple once, but it faded out quickly and I ended up looking like a psychotic Ronald McDonald.

Hee. I was given purple hair once. But since it was supposed to be flaming red, I was less than thrilled. Flaming red or cookie monster blue have always been my desired hair colors. Although I may never get to try cookie monster blue because I've since declared that flaming red shall be my color til I die (as opposed to dye). Anyway, if it's a pretty purple, don't dye over it! Release your Inner Purple-Haired Chick! This could be a great opportunity... you could just go a leeeeeeeetle tiny bit more purple each time you dye your hair. Eventually, you'll have lovely violet tresses and the folks at work will never have noticed the transition...
