I love guilty pleasures.

A few: Blind Date (I'd go on it just to see what captions they gave me). McDonald's Chicken McNuggets (disgusting, but it's childhood comfort food). Hanson (as opposed to the other boy bands, they write their own music and play their own instruments). Encino Man (Brendan Fraser is a comic genius). Cosmo (I like the confessions). Celebrity gossip (makes me feel well-adjusted in comparison).

During some of my worst bouts of depression, I've been known to watch Jerry Springer so I can say "at least I'm not that bad."

What are your guilty pleasures?

Hey! Mmm... I tried to think of some guilty pleasures, but I can't think of any at the moment. I was doing a search on "space ghost" looking for friends and found ya. (*waves*)

What's your favorite Space Ghost ep? Mine's the one where Space Ghost writes the script.

I couldn't even begin to choose a fav. There's on that sticks out, though, were Brak went crazy describing how jittery he gets when he drinks coffee. I get that way when I drink coffee, so I thought it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen.

I don't think I've seen that one... now I want to! DVDs are apparently coming soon!

DVD's! Be-still my heart! I could watch it whenever I wanted. Mmmm... I'll have to keep my eyes open for that. Thanks for the heads up!

See, I would say that Buffy is too well-done to be a guilty pleasure.

But I hate television

I really loathe the thing but every Tuesday there I was . . . unless I was at an official LJ meetup, that is. LOL!

I have a coworker with an eight-year-old daughter who's ADDICTED to that and in fact utilizes its suggestions.

I am also addicted, and you can pick up excellent tips from them, since their advice is so often general in the case of "if you have a big tummy, don't wear pleated at the waist pants, it will make your tummy look HUGE." Trinny and Susannah finally got me to wear flare/bootcut pants, and they do look so much better than tapered.

Guilty pleasures...

Well, some of them include the occasional celebrity gossip, the occasional tormenting of my colleague Peter, calling [livejournal.com profile] reannon by the name "Bunky," the Playboy subscription, any movie produced by Adam Sandler's "Happy Madison" company, and E's Wild On! (though I haven't watched that in months ... my favorites were the ones with Jules Asner). Also the music of INXS.

I hate to ask a stupid question, but what's J-pop?

From: [identity profile] dellaran.livejournal.com
Japanese pop music, generally quite frothy and fluffy. Think Hello Kitty with a guitar. It's broader than that, but that will give you the idea. In my case, it's pretty much exclusively anime theme songs.

And no, it's not a stupid question.

Dave calls me Ryoga because of my um, direction sense. :)

Yhea Ryoga and I get really lost together often.. and he is strong and sensative and easy to maipulate, takes any gas he can get... I just love my car so much. I could never figure out why Akane like Ranma so much...

Eh, Akane and Ranma deserve each other. Just save Ukyo for me. She's definitely my favorite. (And I've never even had okonomiyaki...)

she is the greatest... of the girls oh yes. But come on Ryoga beats Ranma anyday. Ideal pairing are Uuchan and Ryoga.... in my poor little fan head. One of my friends in highschool called me Uuchan... damn the man, it was kinda cute and kinda annoying cause it totally kept me in my "place" of best friend. < /whine >

Guilty Pleasures, ah I have many.
Kool and the Gang, Prince, Olivia Newton John, cheesy 80's movies like "Some Kind of Wonderful" and "Pretty in Pink", body glitter, Fun Dip (remember the candy powder stuff that you use the chalky candy stick in?), stickers, *cough* nothing to see here move along...

There are no guilty pleasures--you should never feel guilty about taking pleasure in something! :D

Some of my more trashy pleasures, though (things I know aren't very good quality, but I love them): Lucky magazine, the E Channel, the Style Channel, Dude, Where's My Car?, Livejournal, Diet Vanilla Coke, Laurell K Hamilton books. I could go on and on--I'm such a hedonist.

Jack-in-the-crack, McDonald's, Amanda Quick romance novels, being mean to random idiots who IM me wanting me to fuck them, finding journals of teenage idiots and quietly mocking them where they can't hear me, being snarky about grammar.

guilty pleasures

Diva music.

Teen movies based on Shakespeare and other classics. Think "10 Things I Hate About You," "Cruel Intentions," etc.

Cheesy horror movies. Think "Ghost Ship," "Halloween XXXIIIV," "Freddy Meets Jason," etc.

Watching Classic Trek while intoxicated and MST3King it.

There, have you lost all respect for me now? :)

for some reason "BASEKETBALL" is always hilarious to me. Also, no matter how often people tell me they suck, I still like Creed.

I've done EXACTLY the same thing with Jerry Springer (and other bad tv talk shows) when I was severely depressed. Same reaction too.

Does bad horror count as a guilty pleasure? I've never been sure.
