More embarrassing stuff

I was just telling weaklikekitten that Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday. When I was a kid of course I liked Christmas better, and maybe I still do, but it hit me in my teen years that I loved Thanksgiving -- no stress, just time to hang out with family, bond with Mom, and enjoy the excitement of the season just beginning.

Then I realized: Gee, can you tell I'm a little piggy? My favorite holiday is the food one.

You're not alone, there are a lot of peeps who love Thanksgiving (I'm guilty here too ^.^). It's a time to reflect on what "one" has to be thankful for. Not to get too historical, but many gathering where accompanied with eating, so we associate major holidays with food but really what holiday isn't.

This doesn't make anyone look like a piggy, just shows that we as a society like to enjoy ourselves.

Personally, my all-time favourite holiday is Halloween - sure one might not say it's a "true" holiday, but hey who can resist free candy (especially after checking out my children's loot (they don't want) after they've gone to bed *l*)
