Over lunch I was reading an article in Rolling Stone about 11 murders committed by soldiers at Fort Carson and how the lack of mental health care almost certainly contributed to the subsequent crimes. And then I came back to my computer to see this. When will we ever learn what it means to truly support the troops?

It's crazy these poor kids going overseas, killing and having to deal with things most people can't handle and then getting no support when they get home. Or being too 'proud' to get help. I know when my dad came back from Desert Storm, my mother MADE him go to the counceling that was offered. I've seen my dad have to deal with kids in his command that were having problems....I would hope that somehow, the military can redo their mental health system and help those who need it.
