I've mentioned before that my mom makes fun of me for being more interested in toys now than when I was a kid. But this is really getting out of hand...

I haven't thought about Barbies in years. Compared to most girls, I probably wasn't even that into Barbies (though I do seem to remember having a lot of them). I have admired my friend Emily's collection, and I think I may have written a post once bitching about the fact that the bitch has better clothes than I do (or was that drag queens?).

But over break I was browsing at Target with Mom and saw this doll and fell in love. I have to get her! She's so pretty! And she's Celtic!

I need to have my head examined.

But Emily says if I get her, I can come over and play Barbies with her!!

barbeeeeee!

you know what (but i wont admit this publically) but *I* collect barbies myself. i get about 5 or 10 a year. they are piled in a closet somewhere. either my apt has some or my mom has most. some at my dads. all still in the box. even have my moms from the 60s.

bling bling in oh... 40 years?

I bought this for 'song for Valentine's day. And then her birth mom bought it for her for her bday. So if you want to buy our extra one (instead of us having to deal with the return hassle of Toys "R" Us), you're welcome to do so.

I don't even want to think about the number of non-Elayna toys in our house, between Barbies, various comic action figures, etc.

And when I have the chance for a real LJ update (coming any day now), I'll be posting about Elayna's Barbie Birthday party yesterday. :-)

You've got a deal. How much do you want for her.

Looking forward to stories of the wee one's birthday. Wanna do lunch on Wed.?

And do you guys actually take them out of the box and stuff? I mean, the box is pretty and everything, but aren't toys meant to be played with?

If I only had the ca$h, I'd be tempted to go into Barbie speculating... Have you got any idea how much the Barbie Princess of the French Court is going for on Ebay?

'song says $20 (it's what it sells for retail, which means it's what we'd have gotten at Toys R US). And lunch on Wed sounds great!

Umm, can I take the fifth?

'song doesn't open her Barbies. I've got mixed feelings on toys -- sometimes, the packaging itself just rules, and sometimes I've gotten things signed (like Bob Burden signing my Flaming Carrot action figure's box). I've been known to buy two (or more) toys at times, to have one to play with and one in a display. I've actually got at least five Usagi Yojimbo action figures, thanks to this and the need to get all variants. :-)
