Places I would splurge a bit on: photographer and food. Get a pro and not a friend--unless you have a friend who is a pro. People remember if the food is good or if it sucks, so in order to avoid sucking, I'd say get a caterer. Take recs from anyone you can, especially on who to avoid! An acquaintance of mine had The Worst DJ in Central Florida, so I made sure to get his name, so I wouldn't hire him.
