We were playing Settlers of Catan last night over at cadoln and streamweaver's. I had never played before, and I quickly got pinned in by my competitors, but I didn't mind because we had discovered the true joy of the game -- talking smack. Apparently in our version of Catan, the men are men and the sheep are scared.

Best moment:

kellinator, watching ljless_mike trade with the bank rather than the rest of us at a much better rate: You're just flushing those resources down the Catan toilet.
ljless_mike: I would rather flush them down the Catan toilet than let ONE OF YOU MOTHERFUCKERS HAVE THEM!!

Well, see, my wife is very very nice, and this is exactly why we can never play these kinds of games with people other than family. She does not like when people are "mean" in games (she can't even play Risk at all anymore!). So, like, in Cataan, she always wants people to put the Robber guy on an empty space, so no one is disturbed.

AKA, remind me to never invite you over to play Cataan! ;)
