I have returned from the wilds of Tennessee. I shall soon return in earnest with cat tales and snarky one-liners, but in the meantime I want to know what's up with you, since I have not a prayer of catching up with LJ. Anything important happen to you or yours while I was gone? I hate being out of the loop.

I got TRASHED on thanksgiving night, and the next day my crush/fake boyfriend cancelled golf plans to come take care of me.

And I think I'm about to go get a big cow cat that's at one of the shelters (4 year old neutered male) and I'm going to name him Otho.

I saw Rent, went to a Cyndi Lauper concert, and generally had a very busy few days. I spent most of my time alone, however. I have very little to report.

I had a sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet date on Thanksgiving with a new guy from myspace, his name is Shale. He brought me ice cream. Very sweet.... and kisses!

I got promoted and most people I know are experiencing the death in the family syndrome that's going around.

I managed to avoid two wrecks on Saturday getting back from my family's festivities, and my cousin got spattered with hot oil from dropping the turkey (to be fried) into it too fast. He's okay, thank goodness. He wears glasses and turned his head in time.

Also helped my parents pack up the main level of their house. The pipe connecting the toilets to the sewer system collapsed in two places not too long ago, and all the flooring is going to have to be replaced (the toilet backed WAY up, all the way to the kitchen)... But! Homeowner's insurance is covering the new floor, as well as them moving out for a week, stay in a hotel, board the pets, and wait for the guys to finish putting in the new flooring. Happy.

What is unhappy is that due to my roommate's tender heart, my mother's two mini dachshunds will be staying with us for the duration. And making lots of noise, and demanding attention, and pee/crapping all over the freaking place. Ugh. Spoiled brat dogs. I did not want to do this, but apparently my opinion doesn't matter too much in the face of "they'd be miserable, and it'd break your mother's heart to board them." Bah. They'd get over it. ;P

Uhm... oh yeah. And I'm going to visit my boyfriend for a few days this week. Gonna take a bit of a vacation, as it were. We were going to a concert of sorts, but the tickets still haven't arrived at his place, so I'm doubting that it will happen. They'd better refund his money if they can't get the tickets to him in time. *shakes fist*

Baph's grandfather died, we spent money we didn't have, got in debt to the bank, received a one-week paycheck (out of town when timesheets were due), we enjoyed THanksgiving until we found out that we had no money to get home, I am trying to get a job and the other day we got a notice to vacate our house in 30 days.

...and my period started today.
