I was feeling pretty moody tonight, so when I went to Kroger to pick up some essentials, I made a detour into the Easter candy aisle.

Forget Valentine's Day. I've always been thoroughly convinced that Easter has the best candy. Cadbury Eggs, Peeps, the little bunny- and ducky-shaped SweetTarts...

I was picking out my favorites, hoping to cheer myself up, when I saw it.

It was this little yellow ducky, labeled "My First Keychain."

I was looking at how cute it was when I noticed the package said it made sounds.

I pressed the little button cleverly disguised as a wing.

Quack quack quack quack quack quack quack.

Quack quack quack quack quack quack quack.

I don't know why, but it reached me. I've been obsessed with ducks as long as I can remember, and this little ducky was there for me. I stood there in the aisle and pressed its wing about ten times in a row, pressing it for dear life.

(In case you had to ask, yes I bought the little ducky.)

Personally, I was never into Easter candy (being Jewish might have been a factor), other than Cadbury Cream Eggs, until my sophomore year of college, when I discovered Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs. I think I gained thirty pounds in a month thanks to those.

Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs are good enough to be considered a sin. For some reason, they are infinetly tastier than plain old reeses peanut butter cups. It's an unsolved mystery of our time, in my opinion...

I think it's because they have way more peanut butter in them. Same thing with the Reese's P.B. trees around Xmas.
