Oh, the humanity!

This morning my boss informed me that there is a Christmas special based on the song "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer." Apparently it aired last night on the WB, immediately followed by some sort of family-oriented-TV-awards-show. We snorted at the irony.

Me: What's next, a cartoon version of the Cheech and Chong "Santa Claus and His Old Lady" bit?
Will: Actually, I think I'd rather watch that.
Me: Me too.

And furthermore, it's not just a half-hour cartoon, like I initially assumed. No. It's a full hour.

Sometimes the snark just writes itself.

I caught the intro credits to this. It literally said in the credits "Based on the song 'Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer', written by [mumble]." At that point I had to switch channels - just didn't think I could handle the awfulness.
