Some nice, non-snarky news

Much to my surprise, I seem to have acquired myself a boyfriend.

His name is Michael. We met at DragonCon but didn't start dating till a while after that. If you've been to margarita_fri lately, you may have seen him with me -- tall, lovely long black hair.

Truth be told, I underestimated him at first. For one thing, he was interested in me, which as those of you who have been around for a while know tends to make me run in the other direction. But he didn't give up. He didn't push me, which wouldn't have worked at all, but he kept coming to Margarita Friday and managed to win 10dimensions over, at which point she bopped me with the clue bat. I'm so glad she did, because that's when it all kind of fell into place.

He's amazing. At DragonCon, he spent half an hour at a party sitting with an ill friend of mine to make sure she was okay, even though he had no clue who she was. He's funny, and smart, and gentle. He's seen me both upset and angry, and he didn't freak out at either.

It's funny, sometimes you really do find the thing you were looking for when you least expect it, in a place you would have never thought to look. I'm just so glad I didn't miss him.
