Fun with Gmail
Oct. 21st, 2004 12:22 pmThe Gmail text ads that I get are a neverending source of amusement to me.
Example:
ariedana sends me an email including the line "he needs to learn that denial ain't a river in Egypt."
The ads:
Save on River Cruises!
Everything You Need to Know to Travel Egypt!

For a start, bring a supply of drinking water. 'Cause honey, "Don't drink the water" ain't just a cliche...!
Oh, and also bring a generous supply of baksheesh (= gratuity money). You often need directions, advice, and insights from natives of the culture, and none of it is free. ;-)
The Gmail ads system really is a hoot, though. *snicker* You just gave me my second-best laugh of the morning!
*hugs*,
Molly
