What's up with 99X in the mornings? They cut the morning show an hour, renamed it after Toucher (good grief why?!), and gave Leslie the Nineties at Nine. Which is cool with me because I like the '90s and I like Leslie. But I'm wondering what happened. Personally, my money's on Leslie refused to keep working with Toucher, because he's an ass.

Actually, since Chris WIlliams was fired Leslie became the new PD. She's got her hands full, so she left the show and now it's the "Fred and Jimmy Bang Each Other In the Ass Show." In fact, Leslie is voicetracked (pre-recorded) during the 9-10a hour, due to her heavy schedule.

I'm not sure if you caught it, but a few days ago Toucher and Jimmy were talking about things that are permanent and he said under his breath, "Except for radio." Hmmm...

99X also has a new survey you can fill out on their main page. If you have 5 minutes I highly recommend filling it out and voicing your opinion.

Toucher and Jimmy did do a funny bit I heard last week where they made fun of the syndicated Bob & Tom Show on WKLS, which is even worse than them.

Gods, I *HATE* B&T. Hell, even the Scott Ferrall show on 105.3FM (another Clear Channel station) make fun of B&T. I'd rather blow my own head off than listen to B&T hack a lung every 10 seconds.

The only good thing to come from them was the Camel Toe song sung to the tune of Kokomo.

I think the Scott Ferrell show is probably the only interesting "talk" program on FM radio in atlanta, really. There's very little bullshit, you're just gettin' ol' uncle scotty bitching about whatever happened to get up his butt today.

I wish I could listen more often, really.

I can't remember the exact bit, but something the DMMS did offended someone and this someone complained to the top of the chain. A half ass apology came from Toucher the next day (I don't blame him...I believe in changing the channel if something bothers me), Chris was suspended the next day, then a week or so later he was fired. I guess they felt since the PD is in control of all on-air content he should take the blame rather than the "talent." This was about 5 weeks ago.

It may have been the really nasty bit he did with someone from a state department that works with special needs children. As I recall, it referred to special needs children in very, very disgusting ways.

I have heard that he is autistic.
And he claims to know that people are laughing AT him, but just likes seeing people happy so he doesn't care.
I don't know. It is still a form of exploitation, but he is so happy.

Parade Kid doesn't care. He's been a favorite of the folks over at Portalofevil.com for YEARS. Basically they've had PK as an unofficial mascot since mid-'01 and he really doesn't care. Basically PK just wants to make people smile and feel good and laugh, and is very unconcerned with his self-image, which is awesome.

And with the departure of 99X Program Director Leslie Fram from the morning show, it's now an all-guy affair.

"The chick who cleans the studio before we come in is a woman," Toucher offered, eliciting howls of laughter by 99X employees in the background.

He's the worst shock jock I've ever heard--mind you, most shock jocks to me are people that you want to scream at the top of your lungs 'will you shut up and play some freaking music?' but they never will.

Bubba was your typical southern male chauvanist jerk, with the world's most annoying voice.

A typical example: his Christmas promotion one year was, I kid you not: "the twelve boobs of christmas"--six free breast enhancements from a local plastic surgeon...
