So it's time to dye my hair again. This time around is especially important because it's the color I'll have for DragonCon. So, time to pick from soem of my favorites.

Feria is my favorite dye, so it's definitely going to be one of those. You can see them here at the hard-as-hell-to-navigate website: http://www.lorealparisusa.com/frames.asp#haircolor/index.asp

My choices:

Sunset Blaze -- This is the one I have right now, though it's faded. It's a little lighter than the others, a little more coppery, a little more natural. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. The website describes it as "a burst of fiery auburn."

Blowout Burgundy -- This is what I had at DragonCon last year. It's a really, really dark burgundy. Maybe too dark to look right on me. I'm not sure.

Ruby Fusion -- I had something close to this when I was on Jeopardy. It's supposed to be "the very richest of all auburns," but it tends to look dark on my hair.

So?

I was about to volunteer to do it Friday night when I come down, but I realized that we'll probably be too busy getting drunk to do anything involving chemicals and dye.

I personally liked the Ruby Fusion. I think the burgandy is a bit too much.

Feria's Blowout Burgundy is what gave me streaks and patches of beet with beet-colored roots, so I fear it. My hairdresser said it was probably because my hair was too dry, so absorbed the color unevenly (I have really peculiar hair). It was truly scary.

It seems wakko1138 and I have similar tastes. I really want to see a gal with plaid hair.

heheh...not to be captain obvious or anything, but its wacko1138 with a "C". The main difference, I would suppose is that one is his Production Company and the other is a Warner...

totally unrelated, but i thought you'd appreciate that i've discovered my own ambassador of snark: snarky skeleton man. he delights in ridiculing my students when i'm not allowed--very handy for a classroom setting.

I thought you looked damn hot on Jeopardy, so I'd say to go with that color again. =-)

Cardinal seems like a nice inbetween sunset blaze and brilliant bordeaux (which also is hothothot). Going for a lighter color tends to pick up the face, keeps you from being washed out the way really dark colors tend to.

But then, I'm an auborn junkie. I'm gonna have to switch to this line when mine runs out. They stopped producing the fucker. I went to big lots and picked up all they had, and that'll get me through at least half a year but after than, I'm having to do something new. I hadn't really been all that pleased with the intensities of the reds that I saw out there, even the feria's, but if I can find a few of these I'll be set...
