A bit of a change of pace for me. Heaven and Earth challenge, Original Flavor, 108 words.

He sat straight up in bed in a cold sweat.

Another damned nightmare.

No. Not a nightmare. Not one I could wake up from, anyway.

Then he saw her.

Even pale and ethereal, she was lovely as ever. He reached for her, but his fingers passed through her like a moonbeam.

Her smile was soft and very sad. "Jack, you have to let me go."

"Don't leave me again, Claire." Tears rolled down his face.

She put her hand on his cheek, and he could almost imagine he felt her touch. "You have to move on. Just... one favor?"

"Anything."

"Not with Serena." They shared one last laugh.
