As I've said before and will probably say again, despite my fascination with the weird and unconventional, I just really don't think there's really anything to dreams. Occasionally I can see an interpretation of one, but I generally don't consider them to be harbingers of much of anything. Just our brains' attempts at amusing themselves while we're asleep by putting together bits of our lives in new and strange combinations, like a jigsaw puzzle on crack.

But occasionally I'll have a dream so weird that even I have to sit up and take notice.

In this dream, my teeth were rotting and falling out. I kept having to stop and spit them out and occasionally throw up. This caused much disgust among others until finally I had to go through some sort of dental procedure that was very, very painful.

I knew I should have written this down in the morning while the details were still fresh...

Maybe it means I need to go to the dentist.

I had the same dream once. However, it wasn't too long after I had chipped my front tooth by tripping on a sidewalk, and I was afraid that the tooth might "die" and I'd lose it. So it was probably related to that.

Maybe it's related to your eating habits, and a subliminal fear of rotting your teeth with sugar and other bad stuff? Not that you eat badly, but it's a possibility.

It's a death thing, babe.At least when I had it, and looked it up, that's what the book said. I finally stopped having after I watched a friend's tooth actually come out. You go on and have a great day now, with all my cheering thoughts spurring you on.
How weird we should have that in common(mine was recurrent)

According to my wife, this signifies a feeling that you lack control in some aspect of your life (or maybe many aspects). I know she gets this from reputable sources, not hocus pocus new age shit.

Furthermore, dreams where one's teeth fall out are one of the more common dreams. I've had it, from time to time.

I've also had multitudinous teeth dreams. However, I am unusually paranoid about my oral health. I always brush my teeth before bed, and sometimes if I forget, it will trigger teeth dreams that night.

[livejournal.com profile] christine9600 also reports having had teeth dreams.

I've had 12 teeth pulled in my dental past, but never had dreams about them falling out. Weird.

Basic anxiety dream. I wouldn't say it's *necessarily* money or death that you're anxious over, those are just so universally anxious making that it's an easy safe bet so say "money or death" when talking about anxiety.

I've had *TONS* of these dreams. So have lots of people I know.

I prescribe bubble baths, sushi and chocolate, but probably not all at once. A good stupid girly movie that makes you cry might help, too. Let out some of those anxiety toxins.
