Jeopardy!!

The audition was so long ago (almost a year!) that I'd pretty much figured that was it for this season and I'd just have to audition again later. But they want me out to tape in less than a month!!

*brain explodes*

Ohmigosh!! How am I ever going to manage all this?! How much is a plane ticket going to be?! What should I be doing to practice? I haven't even been taping the show!! Has anyone got any advice? My lord, I don't want to humiliate myself on national television... Will I freeze? How much weight can I possibly lose in a month?

Get the kind of ballpoint pen that has a click top. Start practicing NOW, every night, to keep clicking that thing maniacally while listening to the questions. Oh, and listen to the show -- don't watch. You are not going to be able to read the questions.

Trust me on this. It's been 11 years, and I'm still a bit embarrassed about it.

Yeah, IIRC, don't the clickers add a 1/10 second delay if you signal while Alex is reading the question?

If they do, get very good at waiting until the question is read. This ain't College Bowl, where it's first in, first to win.
