This actually relates to something I wanted to ask you: Do you look askance when someone requests something that is, obviously, not for research purposes?

Generally, no. In fact, I usually like those requests because it's cool to see that reading for pleasure does still happen.

The one exception is when law profs make me trek all over campus for books that I don't think have a damn thing to do with their classes.
