Good news (from tarpo): According to Ain't It Cool News, an "insider" (what does that ever mean anyway) reports that Farscape is back in production!!

astrophysicat and podling, I expect to be able to hear y'all's squeeing all the way down here.

Bad news (also from tarpo: ABC is putting one of their very few non-suck shows, Karen Sisco, on hiatus.

You have a terrific show that's even better than the movie it's based on, considering Carla Gugino and Robert Forster are both better than the actors whose roles they took over, and that's stylish, smart, and fun. And then what do you do? You put it on against Law and Fuckin' Order. Is an IQ in double-digits and a total lack of common sense one of the requirements of being a network exec?

i don't watch much tv, so i have to ask this, unfortunately: is it a tv show which seems to, in any way, shape, or form, carry feminist sensibilities?

if so, the network scheduling it at a bad time is pretty much par for the course. with shows that can be deemed in any way feminist, networks either try to fuck up the plot, put the characters in compromising situations or reschedule the show so that it's doomed to fail.

this has been going on for decades now. it pisses me off too.

I wouldn't be surprised, since it's a show with a smart female lead...

But I am hearing they're planning to bring it back later and try for a bigger audience (hopefully, in a better time slot). Cross your fingers!

I read that online, too! The Eonline TV columnist said it was being broke back on a different day at a different time.
