A couple of other sources say to use amyl acetate, aka banana oil. Another one says to let it dry, brush off what you can, and try alcohol to wash some more out. Dry-cleaning may be your best bet, though, because it's not water-based. (Hence the name, I suppose...)
this should help. and acetone is used often in nail polish remover. cheap and easy to find.
If the blouse is silk, dont use water or oil, that could stain worse, if it is polyester or rayon, acetone may be bad. dry cleaning may not help, the solution only disolves proteinous material (animal) that's why coffee and wine aren't dry cleanable really, but grease can be.
Well, if you didn't notice at lunchtime, it should be fine -- it was already there. It's really just a little white dot, but it's annoying me nonetheless.
Go get that Dryel kit. It has a stain remover in it, and so long as you scrape off the bulk of the stuff before using the stain remover, it should take it out without messing up the shirt. Scrape with a penny or a ruler, not a bladed object, to avoid weakening the fabric weave. The bottle intentionally dispenses only small quantities of stain remover, so you may have to rub for a few minutes. Best of all, it's a good thing to have around anyway; dry cleaning replacement for "lightly worn" items. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to tell me what color the blouse is before I give more advice, so that I know what type of dye issues you might have. Good luck! ...Your friendly neighborhood chemist
