This weekend was hazardous to my health.

Saturday night at Mick and Carol's I ran into the corner of a glass-topped table. Twice. I now have a two-inch-long raised welt on my thigh. Alcohol was not involved, just my hereditary clumsiness.
I haven't slept well in the past three nights. One nightmare, several dreams of vague foreboding, and lots of tossing and turning.
Can I go home now?

keeping nightmares at bay
Date: 2003-09-15 08:05 am (UTC)You know the knock on wood superstition thing? I made a variation of it, and when I think I'll have nightmares (or, as I have lately been using it, dreams of my ex-fiance) I say (quietly) to myself "I wont have nightmares, tap on my nose" and tap on my nose three times (because I dont have any wood handy at bedtime) Because I place my confidence in this it works, as most supserstitious behavior does, and then I sleep peacefully, nightmare-free
I know. Im odd.
