I really am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.

Is this like needing a vacation to recover from the vacation?

I guess it's the contrast of San Francisco, where everything is shiny, to Atlanta and boring normalcy. Must find ways to make the normalcy more interesting.

One thing the trip got me thinking about: Every city has problems. People in San Francisco drive even worse than people in Atlanta.

Maybe the reason I'm having such a time in Atlanta is because in my head I've made it this outrageous soul-eating monster. Maybe it's just a place. Maybe that's all it is.

I'm rambling. I want to go out to eat, but I know I shouldn't. Spent too much this week. But don't want ramen again either.

The Bay Area is an amazing place. Any other city (except maybe Paris or London) seems dull afterward.

The landscape is spectacular, the climate is perfect, the people are friendly, and what passes for normal here will get you arrested anywhere else. I love this place.

y'know... i did the *same* exact thing to the state of florida. i had lived there for most of my life (against my will, as a minor) and i never got over the oppressive heat, the mosquitoes, the fact that everything is soggy year-round... but moving away has helped me appreciate the good things about florida, and now i can have a pretty good time when i go back and visit. california's not perfect either, but i think all i really needed was a change of scenery. nothin' wrong with that! =)
