Something about myself I will never get used to is these mood swings that turn on a dime. One minute I'm in a reasonably good mood, and the next... BOOM!! Down in the dumps for no apparent reason.

I must have a hidden switch someplace that's getting tripped. Okay, now I sound like I've been watching too much Star Trek (though I haven't seen it in eons).

Have you been to a therapist or someone for a diagnosis? Just curious... :-)

I resemble that remark. Right down to not having watched Star Trek in years (since DS9 ended, in fact).

Welcome to my world..... guess it doesn't help that I'm somewhat of an ex-Trekkie....

Perhaps you should carry a hip flask with your favorite "poison". ;-)

::hugs:: Hang in there.

Have you considered?

That it might be related to your blood sugar? Just something to ponder.

It could be blood-sugar, it could be hormones, it could be caffiene, but generally speaking it's not for no reason.

You've been dealing with a lot of emotional stuff lately, don't be too hard on yourself for the fact that occasionally that just bleeds out, it has to. Most of the time you're fine, but when you're going through this much shit, sometimes you're just going to get blind-sided by feeling like crap for no immediate reason.

I would second [livejournal.com profile] jennywrenn's question of have you talked to a therapist about this? From my own perspective, it's all well and good to be strong and get through things, but at some point it's (effective, useful, stronger?) to let someone else in to help sort out what really is your responsibility and what categorically is not.
