And hey, you should be aware that generally if you have punctured yourself and the object is still inserted *do not* remove the object. Go to a proper health care technician of some sort and have them do it. Removing a pucturing object will, in the very least, provide an immediate hole through which blood will leave your body. And that really is the very least. For a fairly insignificant pucture it's not a huge deal, usually (as long as it isn't, say, in your eye or something). But for some puctures removing the object can be fatal if not done properly.
