"Naming your child Damon is just asking for trouble."

I would think naming your kid Damion would be even more so.

Or naming your child and/or sentient robots "Lucifer"...

So, are you trouble? ;)

Well... THat all really depends on your definition of "Trouble." I'm certainly not one for the traditionally human way of things, and think that most of us would be a lot better off without things like Guilt, or restraint. But other than that, not really...

I think it all depends on the environment, and the parents, and what the kids, themselves, want to do. The name does influence, but it might not be Much. :)

My brother's middle name is Damian, and he's trouble.

Yeah, just go ahead and name him Lucifer. Then he can blame all of his personality quirks on being called "Lucy" while in grade school.

If you wanted an evil computer nerd child you could name it Daemon!

Speaking of asking for trouble...

I knew someone that named their baby Pagan.

Ok, if you are open-minded, or if you know that it just means "earth dweller" that's all fine and dandy.
But these people live in Cowtown, Ga.
That child, and the parents, will be burned at the stake as soon as he reaches public school age.

Nonsense. As government-funded institutions (in more senses of the word than just one), schools are obliged to thwart witch-hunters.

They'll be burned at the stake if they go to a Southern Baptist church, though.

No, they will just be superior acting toward his oh-so-unholy parents and try avidly to get them to convert to whatever branch they follow. You know, there is a preacher on one of those religious cable channels who's last name is Coven. My mother rolled her eyes at me and said it was pronounced CO-ven, with a long O. apparently that makes a big difference.
