Atlanta is hell

I have got to get out of this damned city. It's sucking my brain out through my nostrils like an ancient Egyptian embalmer.
All I know is, when I got to Atlanta I was a bright, intelligent, kind, confident young woman starting out on a grand adventure and now I'm a bitter, cranky, cynical, pissed-off shell.
I should have packed up and gone home when I had the chance.

Date: 2003-01-13 07:20 am (UTC)It is natural, as we get older, to become more cynical. However, that is also a choice. We make choices every day to do things which are not natural simply because we choose something different and "better."
I am not terribly happy here in GA and would happily leave if I did not have obligations tieing me to this city.
I just want to caution you that it may not be Atlanta. It may be cities in general. Or it may be the South in particular. Or it may simply be maturing into something and someone else.
