The last couple of times I've asked a guy (not the same one, natch) to get coffee the response has been "When I'm not so busy." I'm rather starting to think this is Guy Code for "No way in hell but I'm too much of a pussy to tell you so."

Yeah, well, it's lame. Why do guys do that? And more importantly, is it really true (a la The Rules) that I should never ask a guy out? I was hoping we'd evolved beyond that.

Technically, we have only barely evolved since the dawn of recorded history, it's important to remember that. ;)

But don't take *anything* personal, whatever action someone takes, it's almost always (I'd say 90%) about them (for better or for worse)

Even the best examples of humanity are the best examples because that's what they want to be. So, who knows what motivates someone at any given moment.

Just some thoughts on perspective. :)
