More on Jimmy Carter's Nobel Peace Prize:

http://www.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/europe/10/11/carter.nobel/index.html

My favorite part:

"Asked if the selection of the former president was a criticism of Bush, Gunnar Berge, head of the Nobel committee, said: 'With the position Carter has taken on this, it can and must also be seen as criticism of the line the current U.S. administration has taken on Iraq.'"

Up yours, W.!!!!!

I was REALLY glad to see this.

I've felt that Carter's deserved the Nobel for years. He's a truly good and decent man, a REAL Christian, and probably the best human being we've had as President in the past half-century...or, maybe ever. In short, everything little Georgie isn't. And it gives me great satisfaction to know this is probably going to piss Junior off, too. Heh.

I'm all for carter getting any humanitarian type awards they can give him, however he was really NOT known for brilliant policies on the middle east when he had the chance to decide such, so I don't think this will really hurt Bush's credibility much.
