Make sure when you get that office you specify that it has a window! In all my years in corporate america I have never been able to look out a window during the 9 hours I am changed to my computer.
The project I'm on right now, there are 5 of us working together in one room that used to be a mini call center. ugh. I miss my cube. Even though it doesn't have a door... it's *mine* mine!
... last time I had an office with a door, the "office" was the Xerox room... So since then I don't really mind the "office landscape" kind of thing...!!
