Stuff I don't really expect people to understand

I consider it one of my personal missions to stand up to people who pull inconsiderate shit like going through the express lane with obviously more than the alloted items, talking on a cell phone in theaters, etc. Or barring that, at least point out that they're assholes. My mom thinks I'm getting bitchy. metaphorge thinks I'm taking things too personally. Lots of people apparently think I'm the queen of whining. And to some degree, I guess they're all probably right. But I just think I'm doing my duty.

When I was heavily pregnant with Ro, a car cut me off to swing into the "expectant mothers" parking slot. I parked, got out, waddled up to the man who was getting out, and gushed "Oh, congratulations! You aren't even showing! When are you due?"

Don't know why he didn't like me...

Congratulations! I always hate the last month. I tend to start saying things like "Get out here already!" at random times, and people look at me funny. :)

Thanks! This is my third.. and I'm definitely looking forward to having her out here... ;) I haven't started saying that just yet.. but lots of people are asking me about it. At my husband's job today, his assistant asked me if I was "ready to download that thing"...

And having the last month be in the middle of summer is not so much fun.. ;)

People generally start asking me if I need to stay close to the hospital around month 7 or so--I have big babies, and they carry forward.

When I see someone parking in a handicapped space without a permit (and I do check carefully), I've been known to very obviously look the driver up and down and say "Must be mental."
