I'm new at this but from what I understand, your ascendant is sort've like the first appearance you give to people (mixed w/ your rising). Your moon is more your emotional side, which takes a while to be seen, though it also has a slight affect on first impressions. (There are other planets you might look into for the rest of you).

Cancer ascendants have good insight into human motivation. You seem reserved but are actually warm, affectionate, loving, and giving. You can adapt to different kinds of people but take a while before you actually let someone get close enough to be a friend. Probably moody and don't always seem receptive (sometimes you have a snappish temper, can seem touchy, crabby, impatient, and people have to be careful to not hurt your feelings - you are so sensitive that you can take offense where there is none). You prolly have a good imagination, have a screwdness when it comes to buisness (unfrotunately other planets say you are somewhat impractical and have trouble holding on to money, growing impatient if the results of an effort are too long in coming), want recognition but don't want to hog the spotlight, compalin the world doesn't appreciate you but only to win reassurance of the oposite, etc.. Basicaly you're probably a people person that takes a while to come close to friends, are probably a great listener and conversationalist, and get hurt easy.

If you'd like I'll type up on the moon as well (in your own journal) but I think you may want to doublecheck it - if the b-day you listed in your lj is right then I think your moon is actually a scorpio.

thanks! fascinating. i'd love to know about my moon. you can type it in my LJ (i added you to my friends list 'cause it's friends-only). my moon is really in libra (time zone difference...i was born in the philippines :) thank you!
