This spoiled girl is $20,000 in credit-card debt (nearly twice what I made last year) because she couldn't stop buying Prada and Gucci. She has now set up a website where she asks people to give her money. She says she deserves it because she's a nice person and gives tourists directions. She claims she can't drink tap water because she's scared of anthrax, and she primly says she won't take off her clothes for money because she's not a prostitute.

I normally would not do this, but I am going to email her and tell her I have more respect for prostitutes than I do for her. At least prostitutes work for their money.

Does this steam y'all as much as it does me?

Hmmm...my ex ran up my credit cards. No one's helped me out. I've been working my ass off since I dumped him and giving 80% of my paycheck to paying it off.

Now I know what I should have done. I should have set up a website called www.save-amanda.com and I could post the story about how horrible my relationship was and how he spent every dime I made and then some. Then maybe people would feel sorry for me and send me money and I could get my debt paid off faster.

I'm a nice person, too. I help people fix their computers. I recycle. I give people directions. Does that mean I deserve to have other people pay off my debt?

Seeing that site just makes my skin crawl. I can't believe people are actually dumb enough to send her money.

Yep....that's where I've spent most of my time looking for the elusive but perfect Prada or Kate Spade rip offs....hee hee...I also have been known to look in DC and LA...haven't found the perfect rip off yet........lol...and just can't bring myself to pay the full price...don't want to wind up like Miss Twenty Thousand In Debt ya' know....hee hee.

I've got lots of debt (not on her level, mind you).

And I'm just kicking myself for not realizing I could probably pull off something like this and get a bunch of morons to pay it off. But now that it's been done, no one else will pull it off.

The real idiots are the people who are sending her money (not counting ebay sales). From what I can see, Karen's just taking advantage of morons, something I can only mildly disapprove of.

Personally I think that if she just charges up a few hundred more bucks for a webcam and a hosting service, she could make back the $20000 pretty easy if she strips out of the prada and gucci. :)

I'm not that irritated by it. Part of me is steamed because my family and I live so hand-to-mouth that going to a movie, eating out, even buying one paperback book is extraordinarily rare and when it happens it's a Super Big Thing. But I can't complain too much about her being moochy because I keep thinking "people should be sending me money to pay off the credit card debt we ran up buying groceries and the medical bills from saving scott's life and reconstructing his face!
And in the age of subscriptions, some sap giving her a dollar may not even be a sucker if he considers her entertaining.
