I eat because I'm bored.
I eat because I'm stressed.
I eat because I'm tired.
I eat because I'm lonely.
I eat because I'm sad.
I eat because I'm cranky.
I eat because I'm mad.
I eat because I'm drunk.
I eat because I'm depressed.
I eat because I'm always hungry.

Date: 2002-06-07 05:04 am (UTC)I have never had a weight problem, but I did gain 20 pounds when I was super depressed. I had been working in accounting for years and I desperately wanted to change careers. So, I ate everyday like it was an eating contest. The way I lost the weight was simple.
I would have a realistic breakfast first thing in the morning. Then, every time I felt like a snack I would drink water. 9 times out of 10, having the water did away with the craving for a snack. I cut out sweet drinks. I would eat more slowly. Finally, I stopped eating late at night. I lost the 20 pounds in a few weeks.
