Changing society for the better is slow work. I know that's little solace when the malice is pointed right at you, but it's a matter of outcompeting the assholes. I'd like to say we're slowly winning, but I'm not in the trenches. I just call people on it when they're assholes in this regard, but as you've said some people will never see it our way.
