one other thing: Heidi looks like a tabby, and my first cat (now living with my ex) is a tabby. tabbies prefer to be onlies, but Cally really hit it off, eventually, with our dog--even sleeping with her! (no, not like that). Cal loves toy mice, and if you haven't tried them, maybe Heidi'd be into them too. she was also a climber in her youth--and like most tabbies, she is very opinionated and candid when sharing those opinions.
i've found that different types of cats prefer different kinds of play and different classes of toys. it's weird, but it's just what i noticed. Cal likes to play chase, as does Shredda, my sort-of-boyfriend's cat. Pip hates chase, and freaks out whenever i behave too much like a cat, but she loves little cloth or fur toys. Pig is totally indifferent to mouse-shaped toys, but loves fishing-pole toys and superballs. Pig's a tortie, Pip's a calico.
