I just found out my head is warped, but not cracked!

This is specifically in reference to my car, but I like it as a commentary on my mental health as well.

Warped is better than cracked, certainly. It's still going to be expensive to fix, though. You have my sympathy.

You should be able to get you head milled back into spec. Two things:

Check the cost of a new head first. Compare this to any price given to you for milling.
If the mechanic won't guarantee the mill work, and they don't magnaflux the head to check for cracks and leaks after they mill it, it needs to go somewhere else. Warped is better than cracked, if you can find the people to do good work. If you can't find good help, then just replace it.

Well dangit! I was gonna recommend that you whack it with a hammer until the warping goes away,...but then I realised you were talkin' bout your car..which is alot more susceptible to damage. HAHAHAHA!

It probably all happened when your themostat was out. Yep, your lucky it's not cracked. It couldda been alot worse.
