First of all thanks for posting such a great article. Robert Friedmann really summed it up perfectly. I think what really makes this particular case nauseating is the combination of sanctimony and hypocrisy. Bush says to "err on the side of life" even though he cheerfully presided over executions in Texas and the loss of life in Iraq. Apparently the sanctity for life is reserved for those who, due to being an embryo or brain dead, cannot formulate opinions that clash with the so-called pro-lifers; someone who they could idealize without any unpleasantnes such as independant thought.
