If I were a rich (wo)man

Dear Terry McAuliffe, Mary Beth Cahill, Howard Dean, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and everyone else who's hitting me up for money,

I'm sorry, but I think I've run out of money to give you. Remember, I don't have much money. It's not like I'm a Republican or anything.

Love,
Kelly

I had more money before a Certain Someone encouraged me to read Gotham Central. Money that could have gone to the DNC.

But, hey, comic books vs. the future of our country? It was really no contest.

You really know how to lay on the guilt, don't you.

No, no, it's OK. I'm going to need something to read during the Apocalypse.

After those tax cuts are made permanent, you'll have plenty of money.

Hey, I'm looking forward to going out and buying a Hummer with my tax break. Gotta keep the environment in check somehow...

I feel your pain...

Plus, in my case, I gave as much as I could without my name becoming a matter of public record. Since I work for a newspaper, that would be a bad thing.

Thanks a lot, Kellinator. I had FINALLY gotten that song out of my head. :P

I thought people who worked in libraries were all rich.

Agreed. But I do use the nice mailing labels that the causes send. I used to feel guilty about it until the Admiral pointed out that at least I'm advertising their cause even if I don't send money.

I just started season 4. Who is this new guy, and do we like him?

Eagerly awaiting spillage on the Pratt murder...

[identity profile] kellinator.livejournal.com 2004-09-28 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
The new guy is Mike Kellerman, and we like him even though he's much prettier than the typical Homicide cast member. He's a much better character/actor than you get from his first episodes.

The general consensus is that Munch killed Pratt. It's all-but-explicitly stated in the 7th season finale (which turned out to be the final episode of the series) and also ends up tying into some other non-Munch stuff that I don't want to spoil for you. That's another reason I'm waiting to show you some of my Munchfic -- didn't want to spoil that for you too early.

And thanks are in order!! I checked out Without a Trace on TNT last night and thought it was terrific. I'm bummed that I have to wait a week for another episode... Can I jump into the second season without missing anything?

Re: Mike Kellerman: *snort*. Tex said to me, "Who is this guy, and why is he here?" I said, "I don't know who he is, but he's here because he's a hunk."

Re: Pratt. Yeep! Just as I thought. Okay, hopefully they won't wait too long on season 7. Wow. What about Homicide the Movie? Where does it fall?

I'm SO GLAD you like WaT. You can jump into any old season you like. For the most part, you don't have to know what came before. They're airing season 3 right now, and if you decide to watch it, I can tell you the couple of things you need to know to be up-to-date. The big "gasp" at the end of season 1 is something that you grow to be pretty sure of all throughout, so it's not such a shocker. But you do need to know it in order to know what's going on now.

Oh, and is it wrong that this makes Munch all the sexier? ;-)

This rocks. Just thought I would pass that along.

Want to read something funny?
