I'll be blasphemous here and say that I felt the same way about "Jimmy Corrigan." I tried to like it, I really did, but it just did nothing for me but try to pound it into the reader's head that "COMICS AREN'T ALL JUST SUPER-HEROES!! LOOK HOW DEEP AND LITERATURE-Y I AM!!!! I'M USING METAPHORS DAMMIT!!!"
