Icon help

Any chance someone who's good with computers could help me?

I want to shrink a couple of pics to icon size... Hey dovetail66, can you send me that one?

And I'm trying to find a picture of Daria for an icon... anyone got one I can use?

Of course, my ultimate dream is that jathomas will draw me an icon... maybe if I bribe him heavily...

Here's you a Daria icon. just right-click on it, save to desktop, and upload from there via the LJ usericon-upload-page-type-thingy. ( http://www.livejournal.com/uploadpic.bml ) And yes, that's a technical term.



That one was just a crop and resize job. I can make you one a bit more custom if you tell me exactly what you want, or can give me an image you want me to start with. (find one on an image search in google, works for me)

Just load a pic into the MS paint program that comes with windows, then go to Image, then to "Stretch/Skew." You reduce it by a percentage, you can fool around with it to get it the right size.

If you can't get MSPaint to work, just e-mail me the pictures you want shrunk and I'll get them in icon-sized proportions for you, just stick to one or two images per mail. Just let me know if there is anything special you want done with them. (Editing something out, in, around, negative, whatever) :)

How did you get the sitemeter on your journal page? I have one and the HTML code and all that jazz, but I can only get it to go on my user page, not my most recent events page. I've tried putting it in the override box on the modify journal page, but that's not working. Any helpful advice? Thanks!

Maybe, I'd have to see who's hosting the meter and such. Generally, you just stick the meter URL and such in the overrides under LASTN_HEAD. Probably have better luck asking over in support (www.livejournal.com/support.bml). They'd fall all over themselves for a good, juicy 2 pt customization question.

Some of the alter-egos are pretty nifty. Trying to find one that suits my demeanor, but haven't found it yet. By the way: I hate that "Beat the Geeks" show. Too pretentious, although I'm sure the egotism is scripted.

I haven't seen "Beat the Geeks." In fact, I'd forgotten there was a show by that name.

The Bubbles I'm thinking of is Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls. See, my personality is a cross between her and Daria. She's under my userpics.

Alter egos? Good idea, and good Daria page. I'll have to see if I can resize Daria-as-Holly-Golightly into something usable... that one would be fun.
