I *LOVE* capes. I actually own several - some for fall, some for winter, some for Samhain.
Here's the twisted, embarrassing deal though... I have a grey horse (but he looks like a white horse). I have black tack (saddle, bridle). I tend to dress all in black too - black breeches, black boots, black gloves... SOMETIMES when I ride by myself through the woods I like to play "Elf Queen." You know, white horse with black trappings, alone in the woods and I'm the Elf Queen riding around my forest... (Hey - my friend wears a cowboy hat and a duster and plays "Pioneer Cowgirl" when SHE rides!) One day I got this BRILLIANT idea to go all out and wear a cape while I rode. Keep in mind, horses are VERY skittish animals. Every time I moved my arm or the wind rustled my fabric, my horse FLIPPED out. Let's just say I will never dress up to play "Elf Queen" again. I'll keep it strictly a mental image.
I wish I could sew - I'd make all kinds of cool Druid-like capes and stuff..
