Go read the L&O:SVU Bios on NBC. the *departing* Stephanie March is being *replaced* by Diane Neal.

I've also seen her climb into something much like the gold crown vic they show exploding.

Law and Order also has a penchant for killing off it's departing ADAs. I think only one escaped alive....
