According to The Rumor Mill (http://www.thedigitalbits.com/rumormill.html), we may have a special edition DVD of Casablanca by the end of the year. Casablanca!! Woooooo!! I'm so glad I haven't already upgraded my copy. I didn't think they'd do a special edition because there probably isn't much left over and the principals have all died (they had to bring in Lauren Bacall for the documentary on the last release). Also, the Indiana Jones trilogy!!! And one of my all-time favorite shows, a little-known show which only twenty-three people watched, of which my brother and I were two, is coming in June: The Ben Stiller Show. Before he, Janeane Garofalo, and Andy Dick hit it big, they did this sketch comedy show on Fox. You will love it.

I suppose a real special edition of LA Confidential would be too much to ask?

The supposed street date for the first two seasons of Homicide: Life on the Street is May 27 (marking my calendar!). And edie22, we may be seeing Smallville on DVD by next year.

In other news, am I the only one who doesn't really see why we need Scooby-Doo Meets the Harlem Globetrotters on DVD?

That depends, have they released Scooby Doo meets Phyllis Diller yet? Because, well, that one is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better.

I'm dubious about the need for Scooby-Doo on DVD myself. (the Little Fayoumis owns same, thanks to the snarky offices of Darkside, who delivered it as a Christmas gift.)

I think it's a rumor about SV on DVD, but it'd be nice. =)
