Yesterday I had a nice almost-totally-by-myself day. Well, as by myself I can be when I'm on the phone, anyway. I took myself out to the buffett at Bombay Cafe, then went to Tar-zhay. I should have known better than to go to Tar-zhay on a Sunday afternoon. Mass of moronic humanity. Oh well, at least it wasn't Wal-Mart. I found the Simple Green I needed to strip paint from minis with. I found the sandals I've been needing for months, and they were even on sale! And insanely comfortable. And I got the most adorable pajama cami set. Perfect for summer lounging. And black. Pajamas that make you feel sexy are a good thing. But I mainly needed a new hair color (even though I bought everything else in the store). It was way past time to dye again. I called [livejournal.com profile] atomicnumber51 and [livejournal.com profile] 10dimensions for advice on what to try. We thought a nice strawberry red would be good, but I just couldn't find one that I thought would work, so I went with Feria Sunset Blaze (bright auburn, and I just got complimented on it).

Oh, Tar-zhay is attempting to have an attitude now. I might have bought the "I Love Nerds" shirt if it hadn't looked so cheap and flimsy. The Oscar the Grouch panties with "Scram" on them caught my eye, but I just couldn't deal with having Oscar the Grouch on my butt. I was very tempted by the ones that said "I'm cuter than the cheerleaders", though.

At home I discovered that Simple Green, which is non-toxic and biodegradable, is a great cleaner for just about everything, not just my geek hobby. The sink smells great. Much recommended.

The Sunset Blaze probably isn't that different from the last four colors I've had, but I like it.

I've seen a lot of stupid shit this morning, but it's not bothering me, because these sandals are just that comfortable!

Tomorrow's the big day.

Starting today you can see (and hear) me at the Jeopardy! webpage. Just for the record, I loathe the picture they used of me.

The Lakers have exceeded even my highest expectations for drama.

I expected Phil Jackson to go. But Shaquille O'Neal calling for a trade? This is better than Days of Our Lives!

"It looks like Buss, the Lakers' owner, has made his choice: Kobe stays; the others can go. In other words, he is not averse to trading Shaq and is willing to build his franchise around a narcissist who's on trial for rape, doesn't make his teammates better and is in denial over all of it."

For once, I agree with Shaq: The Lakers should appreciate the fact that he didn't rip Kobe's head off this year.
