possibly the funniest article title I've ever seen

Proof positive that you can write an article about anything, and not only will an academic journal somewhere publish it, someone else will want to read it!

An article I'm currently lending to the CDC: "The Deterrent Effect of Terrorist Incidents on the Rates of Luggage Theft in Railway and Underground Stations"

The gist of the article? After a bomb blows up in England, people don't steal as much luggage for a while.

I have no idea why this has me doubled over in laughter, but it does!

A little bit of advice for all my fellow comics geeks...

I spent a very enjoyable if profoundly disturbing evening catching up on all the Marvel MAX miniseries I didn't realize Garth Ennis was writing. I would really love to know what goes on in his head when he comes up with this shit. Born, the Punisher-origins miniseries, was definitely one of the darkest things I've ever read in any genre, and his Thor miniseries, featuring zombie Vikings let loose in New York City, features more decapitations per capita than a Highlander fanfic archive. Oh, and Dr. Strange has a great line: "I'm Dr. Strange, not Dr. Suicidal."

I have no idea why someone as relentlessly girly as me is obsessed with Garth Ennis. But I'm not complaining.
