Welcome to my classroom

I got observed by the prof in my TA section today. I think it went pretty well. The students were great -- I think everyone had at least one insightful comment.

Dire straits

I've just realized how broke I am.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make ends meet? Does anyone need a tarot reading or a crocheted afghan? I won't do prostitution or snake handling, but anything else is fair game.

An uncomfortable discovery

Today I inadvertently discovered that if I really want something, especially from a middle-aged man, I can probably get it by bursting into tears.

I'm not very happy about any of the implications of this.
