Stuff I don't really expect people to understand
I consider it one of my personal missions to stand up to people who pull inconsiderate shit like going through the express lane with obviously more than the alloted items, talking on a cell phone in theaters, etc. Or barring that, at least point out that they're assholes. My mom thinks I'm getting bitchy.
metaphorge thinks I'm taking things too personally. Lots of people apparently think I'm the queen of whining. And to some degree, I guess they're all probably right. But I just think I'm doing my duty.

Sometimes there are things too small to worry about... and then sometimes pointing out to an ass that they are an ass is a GOOD thing! :-)
It is all about expending the proportionate amount of energy on the said disgression.

The bad thing is, rarely does speaking my mind even make me feel better. I just stew till I get distracted.

If it were me, I hope he would have taken the swing so I could have called the cops on his ass!

When I see someone parking in a handicapped space without a permit (and I do check carefully), I've been known to very obviously look the driver up and down and say "Must be mental."

At what point do you confront violators of the "10 items of less" law? 11 items? 15? What do you say to them?

I guess confrontation depends on how heinous it is, how busy it is, and how bad a mood I'm in. Yeah, it's arbitrary. I'm not an especially good moral arbiter, but I'm all we've got.
Great post, btw! Went in my memories.

And once in Taco Bell, this guy stepped ahead of me in line and started ordering. I said, "Hey!!" and he proceeded to lecture me for five minutes on how rude it was for me to say "Hey," and I should have politely asked him to step aside.
