In Flannery O'Connor's novel Wise Blood, the main character, Hazel Motes, is on a quest to start the Church of Christ Without Christ. What I want to start is the Church of Christ Without Christians.

In recent months I've taken to paraphrasing Randall from Clerks: "This religion would be great if it weren't for all the fucking Christians."

Well, Kelly, you shouldn't over react that way. After all, his comments were TOTALLY taken out of context. (http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/08/24/robertson.chavez/index.html?section=cnn_latest) Like, when he said that it'd just be easier to have him out of the way? He meant that Pres. Chavez should just, like, move to Peru. Or something.

The point is: God has told Pat to cover his ass and apologize after fumbling an attempt to deny what he said apologize, and we should all respect what God has told Pat to do.

He pissed me off on several levels.

As a person who has reeeally come to despise the embarassment the so-called Religious-Right ("Right" even when they're dead-wrong) has brought upon Christians and non-Christian people of faith, Robertson has shown his true colours. He's no better than the Spanish Inquisition. In fact, he's not even as fashionable as the Spanish Inquisition.

Second, since when is it Pat Robertson's place to decide who lives and who dies..and who does the killing?

I got one question for Pat Robertson.
